Although
this is made out to be an all-action "Jackie and Sammo" film, anyone
who's seen it will testify to the fact that it most definitely isn't.
Jackie, and especially Sammo, are superb in the way they handle their roles, creating a moving film which I feel is one of Jackie's finest.
Having
only ever seen this, until now, in Pan-And-Scan, Dubbed format I
was blown-away by the improvement in picture and sound.
Sound
is stereo and clear, but nothing mind-blowing.
One thing that places this above other Hong Kong DVD's are the Subs. - they're simply superb: clear, no miss-spellings and are perfectly translated, allowing you to concentrate fully on the story.
The Menus are good, nothing special, but do the job. One of the nicest features is the trailer, which is actually the theme song played over clips from the movie.
After
many viewings, this superb film still affects me in a way very few
Jackie Chan (or Hong Kong films in general) do.
