MARKING
SYSTEM
|
| REVIEW MARKING SYSTEM |
The Review Marking System is based on
an "out of ten" stars scale.
The following list differentiates the different marks:-
1 = Dreadful
2 = Very Poor
3 = Poor
4 = Below Average
5 = Average
6 = Above Average
7 = Good
8 = Very Good
9 = Excellent
10 = Superb
*Please note that the
Marking System for Anamorphic prints and Non-Anamorphic is the same.
However, a score of 10 for a non-Anamorphic disc's transfer is the
eqivalent to a score of 8 for an Anamorphic one.
For example, an Anamorphic disc which scores an 8 for picture quality
will be superior to a non-Anamorphic disc scoring 9 for picture quality.
| LANGUAGES |
The Language shown in UPPERCASE indicates the Original / Intended soundtrack the film was shot in/for, and therefore the one I would recommend using whilst watching.

W/S
SUBTITLES
|
A NO
means that viewing the Non-Anamorphic DVD on a Widescreen
Television results in the subtitles being partially, or completely,
cut off.
In order to view that particular DVD, you need to make sure your Widescreen
TV allows you to shift the picture upwards, so the subs are readable.
A YES means
that you can read the subtitles without needing to adjust the picture's
position.
* Please note that whilst this is not an issue with Anarmorphic
transfers, for convenience, these discs will be marked YES.
